Micro Needling
Automated Micro-Needling or Collagen Induction Therapy ( CIT) is naturally induced skin rejuvenation and is an excellent new innovation which is used to treat fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars and improve the skin’s overall appearance.*
Tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to naturally produce collagen and elastin. The skin’s repair process results in softer wrinkles and overall skin rejuvenation. Automated micro-needling also creates superficial micro-channels which can be used with hyaluronic acid, and serums such as Micro Glide GF (Growth Factors) to optimize the skin’s response to the Micro-needling procedure.

How Does Micro Needling Work?
Skin needling also called micro needling therapy, is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure that triggers the body to produce collagen and elastin. Through the process of neovascularization and neocollagenesis, there is improvement in skin texture and firmness, as well as a reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks.
Microneedling depths can be adjusted during the course of the procedure to take care of different treatment areas. The procedure itself only lasts 15-30 minutes, and the healing time, while dependent on the patient’s skin, can last as little as 24 hours.
To Rejuvenate new skin, these growth factors must be put into your face.
Using a very small needle, the growth factors is injected into the face. Micro-channels created by micro-needling provides a direct pathway deep into skin layers of skin for optimal effect and skin rejuvenation. Micro-needling application is ideal for smoothing fine lines, wrinkles, scars, and increasing plumpness and overall skin rejuvenation.
MicroGlide GF is the latest addition to the Eclipse MicroPen procedure.
– It is specifically designed for use during micro-needling to aid in Skin enhancement.
– MicroGlide GF uses human bone marrow-derived growth factor (GF) to optimize the skin’s response to the Eclipse MicroPen procedure.
– Benefits of GF are skin cell proliferation and neocollagenesis.
– Naturally occurring peptide and protein signaling molecules – GFs control cellular growth, proliferation, healing and differentiation
MicroGlide GF can also be used in conjunction with other applications including microdermabrasion and laser resurfacing.
Needling Acne Scars
The MicroPen can provide results for improving the appearances of acne scars. The physical nature of “skin-needling” breaks up fibrous and uneven scar tissue and encourages the growth of new tissue. Currently, there are ablative (creating a wound to incite healing) and non-ablative treatments offered, which can damage the epidermis and evaporate the skin leading to thinner epidermis problems. Conversely, MicroPen maintains the full integrity of the epidermis fully intact, quickening healing time and causes less pain.
Micro-Needling for Burn Scars
The challenge of a burn scar lies within the matrix of all the forms or categories of the scars involving hypertrophic and keloid scars and pigmentation flaws. These scars thicken over time. Burn scar therapy has been historically limited. MicroPen’s unique vertical stamping and depth control, up to 2.5mm, helps alleviate the appearance of surgical scars and can be a better modality to rolling or other methods. With surgical steel integrity, the robust nature of the automated needle tip (11 needles total and sized at thirty-three gauge) penetrate difficult burn scar tissue dramatically improving appearance, texture, elasticity, size, and mobility.*

Surgical Scars
Scars have altered physiology compared to other skin conditions. Multiple sessions are recommended and may vary depending on the severity and type of scar.*
